Cookeville Regional is happy to announce it is the recipient of 11 Zero Harm Awards for 2024!
The Harm Awards are given by the Tennessee Center for Patient Safety (TCPS) as meaningful recognition to hospitals and clinical departments achieving zero healthcare-associated infections for CLABSI (catheter associated urinary tract infections), CAUTI (central line associated bloodstream infections), CDI (Clostridioides difficile infections), and MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections) across a calendar year.
“We are incredibly proud of these units for winning a Zero Harm Award,” said Stephanie Etter, infection prevention manager at CRMC. “This shows the dedication of care our staff strive to give as well as the teamwork our staff have to prevent infections or harm to patients.”
CRMC received this recognition for 11 nursing unit (up from six in 2023) showing tremendous year-to-year growth in our continued goal of eliminating healthcare-associated infections. The awarded units include:

In addition, six units received awards for a second consecutive year:
