Originally from Spencer, Tennessee, Dr. Hitchcock originally chose Cookeville Regional Medical Center for the opportunity to care for the community he grew up in, which led him to pursue the PGY1 residency at Cookeville Regional.

After completion of his residency training, he decided to continue his career at Cookeville Regional because of the atmosphere unique to a community hospital which allows you to develop personal relationships with your co-workers and various healthcare team members.

At the same time, Cookeville Regional is providing a high level of care compared to most community hospitals, allowing him to be challenged and continue to grow.

Finally, Dr. Hitchcock chose Cookeville Regional because the department of pharmacy has developed a great relationship with the healthcare team, allowing pharmacists to fully utilize their skills and abilities. Cookeville Regional is a great place to practice because of the atmosphere and level of care we provide.

His professional interests are in pharmacy operations, internal medicine, and critical care.

In his spare time, Dr. Hitchcock enjoys golfing and being active outside, cheering for the Tennessee Titans, Vols, Predators, and Atlanta Braves.
