Caring for people in the Upper Cumberland is our top priority at Cookeville Regional Home Health. Cookeville Regional’s interdisciplinary home health staff has been providing quality care since 1978.
All services provided are ordered by a provider for the patient with a plan of care set up by nursing or physical therapy after being evaluated with the signed agreement of the provider.
Our services may include:
Intermittent home care services
Skilled nursing, including wound care, ostomy care, observation and assessment due to new disease process, PICC line care.
Physical therapy to help with walking and strengthening.
Home health aides to assist with bathing and dressing.
Speech therapy to help with communication, swallowing and cognitive issues.
Medical social worker who can help find community resources and counsel patients.
Occupational therapy to help regain function so the patient can once again perform activities of daily living.
Pediatric nursing.
Private duty home care services:
Fentress County, Macon County, Trousdale County, Warren County, Wilson County
If the county is not listed, Cookeville Regional Home Health provides all services offered.
Home health aide services for hands-on care.
Nursing services for complex patients such as ventilator-dependent patients or complex tracheostomy patients.
Registered nurses are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Eligibility
You may qualify for home health services even if you have not been hospitalized. Referrals may be made by your physician. Everyone referred to Cookeville Regional Home Health will be considered for treatment regardless of age, physical disability, race, creed, national origin, or gender. Insurance coverage varies, but most insurance companies require that a person:
- Be under the care of a physician
- Obtain an order from their physician
- Need skilled care in the home
- Be able or have someone to assume responsibility for care in the absence of the home services staff
- Usually be homebound (require assistance to leave home)
Each prospective patient referred to Cookeville Regional Home Health will be reviewed to ensure the patient’s anticipated needs can be met by the agency, including the agency’s current staffing level, case load, case mix, skills, and competencies of the agency staff.
