Assist Registered Nurse and Certified Exercise Physiologist with assessments including taking manual vital signs; 12-lead EKGs; interpreting rhythms by telemetry; plan of care; exercise prescription planning, patient progress and status changes; computer documentation in Scott Care system insurance verification, contacting potential clients, Cardiac monitor placement/education, assists in patient initial evaluation for exercise tolerance, including the safe use of the equipment. Conducts patient education and training sessions. Communicates findings to medical personnel as required, following departmental practices and procedures. Maintains necessary records and files according to departmental practices and procedures. Maintains equipment and calls service personnel as needed. Orders equipment and supplies as needed. Assists physician in emergencies according to department policy. Assists in orientation of patients to Exercise Center.
Certified Exercise Physiologist
This position is responsible for the direction of care of patients in the inpatient, Phase I, and the outpatient, Phase II and III, areas of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Responsible for assessment of patients, development and implementation of patient interventions and monitoring the effectiveness of those interaction in the cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Support the mission, vision, and core values of CRMC. Function under the general direction of the Medical Director and department director. Their role will integrate the components of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, and caregiver.
