Regions Bank supports CRMC Foundation

Regions Bank City President, Dan Blakely presented a check in the about of $1,000 in support of The Foundation at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Accepting the check on behalf of the Foundation were Roy Byrd, member of The Foundation Community Campaign Committee and Gary Curto Executive Director of The Foundation.

Formed in 2005 The Foundation at CRMC is making an impact on the communities of the 14 County Upper Cumberland region.

Initial support to The Foundation has come from the hospital “family� including employees through payroll deduction, physicians and medical groups, our Volunteer Auxiliary, our Foundation Advisory Committee and 100% participation from our Hospital Board of Trustees and Foundation Board Members. Additional gifts have been received from members of our community, business partners, special events (golf tournament), grants and various memorials. Over $1.2 million has been raised during the past year and a half of active fundraising in cash and pledges from over 600 donors!

The purpose of The Foundation is to support the mission of our Hospital assisting in three major ways:
a. Support of patient care programs
b. Equipment & furnishings for the hospital
c. Development of a permanent Endowment Program
Our greatest impact to date has been assisting 400 patients and their families during the past year through various patient assistance programs, including the Cancer Care Fund and Caring Hands Fund, in the amount of $130,920! And we are just beginning. The Foundation plans to fund many efforts that the hospital is not able to finance on its own. Not only can The Foundation create a perpetual source of funding through the development of an endowment fund for future medical equipment purchases and facility expansion, it can also greatly expand the assistance that many patients need with expenses not covered by insurance and other payment sources.

Regions Bank has seen the value of The Foundation and has earmarked their contribution to support patient assistance programs. They see The Foundation as an organization that has a mission that is critical to the future of all of individuals of the Upper Cumberland – Quality Healthcare!
