| Description: | This position will be crossed trained to perform the job duties of all three positions. This position is responsible for all secretarial and receptionist duties and coordination of related activities of the nursing station, including coordination of critical communication between physicians, nursing, patients, families, and other health team members. Position requires utilization of computer, verbal and written skills. This position is responsible for performing basic patient care skills under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. EDUCATION: High school diploma (or GED). 2. EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a health care setting preferred. Basic computer skills. 3. SKILLS: Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to read and write English. Computer data entry. 4. SKILLS: (See unit specific competency skills list). BLS certification required on hire or during orientation. Basic EKG lethal arrhythmia interpretation. |

Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel. 1. EDUCATION: Graduate of a school of professional nursing. Current Tennessee RN license. (See Unit Specific Requirements) 2.
