Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department has 60 registered and certified respiratory therapists on staff. The respiratory care staff is highly qualified to provide therapeutic and diagnostic testing and treatments to maintain optimum physiological maintenance of the cardiopulmonary systems. The Respiratory Therapy Department is open seven days a week with staff on duty 24 hours every day to service patients in the Emergency Room and inpatients.  Outpatient services are available Monday through Friday.

Procedures performed by the department include, but are not limited to:

• EKG
• Arterial blood gas
• ACLS procedures
• Pulmonary function testing
• Bronchoscopy assist
• Pulmonary exercise tolerance testing
• Breathing treatments
• Ventilator management
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Patient assessment
• Oxygen therapy
