CME Offerings for Physicians at Cookeville Regional Medical Center


2nd Tuesday of the month


The Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners require Tennessee physicians to obtain 20 hours CME each year.

The Putnam County Medical Society and Cookeville Regional Medical Center are planning to offer 12 hours FREE CME for physicians in the year 2015!

CME earned at Putnam County Medical Society meetings require no registration fees, no hotel fees, no loss of work or travel expenses. Costs are covered by Cookeville Regional Medical Center. This is a great value for physicians and clinicians required CME credit, We want the Upper Cumberland physicians to know that Free CME is available through Cookeville Regional Medical Center's Education department in cooperation with our local medical society.

The Upper Cumberland Medical Society- TMA in cooperation with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Cookeville Regional Medical Center Education Department sponsor a monthly series of continuing medical education programs for physicians.


The purpose of the series is to give physicians across all specialties an opportunity to meet and discuss advances in medicine which have potential to improve the primary care of our patients. 

Attendes earn 1 Prescribed Hour of CME Credit which is awarded by the AAFP 



  Unless otherwise stated, the meetings will be held at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

Second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm

Physicians will be able to register at the CME meeting as a guest or as an active member through our web portal or by contacting Dr. James Gray. Contact : Dr. James Gray, Upper Cumberland Medical Society President  
Dr. James Gray, President of UCMS-TMA Monthly meetings will include Physicians of the Upper Cumberland Region.
There will be no charge to UCMS-TMA members. Non-member quests will be given the opportunity to either make a suggested $40 donation to the PCMS through PayPal at each CME offering or to join the TMA after referrel from the PCMS CME web portal.
