This course is for practitioners who have had prior ACLS provider training. The focus is on a review of the 10 core ACLS cases and mega code practice. The format is designed for those very familiar with the ACLS material and renewing within a 2 year time period.
A basic understanding of cardiac rhythms & knowledge fo emergency medications is needed prior to class.
The Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest.Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole, four types of prearrest emergencies(bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke
