Respiratory

This position is responsible for providing professional respiratory care through assessment, clinical judgement, treatment and instruction to any population group in need.  The position is also responsible for providing certain cardiac and diagnostic procedures that will assist in providing quality care to the patient.  

1. EDUCATION: Holds a current national credential for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).  Holds a current Tennessee Registered Respiratory Therapist license.  Holds a current BLS card.  ACLS, PALS and NRP are desired, but not required for initial hire.

2.         EXPERIENCE: Hospital experience with medical/surgical and critical care patients preferred.

3.         SKILLS: See Respiratory Care competency skills list.  Additional skills in ECG and other            diagnostic procedures will be verified upon completion of departmental orientation.
