This position is responsible for performing basic and advanced Nursing Assistant skills under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. 


1.  EDUCATION: High school graduate (or have minimum of GED).  CNA Certification preferred. CMA required at Inpatient Rehab.

2.  EXPERIENCE:  Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred.  No minimum required.

3.  SKILLS:  Able to read and write English.  Clinical skills to perform basic nursing care.  BLS current or within first 90 days of employment.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Cardiology Apply

Nurse Practitioner:

This position assists with the management of CV Service Line patients.  In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will assist with patients that have been admitted into the CV Service by the cardiologists or CV surgeons or when the CV Service Line Physicians have been consulted by other physicians.  The Nurse Practitioner may assist the CV Service Line Physicians with admission of patients, patient rounds, consults, history and physicals, discharges and other duties with their scope of practice.

 EDUCATION:  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Masters program.  Evidence of continuing education.  Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.  Must hold a national Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area.

 EXPERIENCE:  Prefer 1-3 years NP experience with cardiac patients in acute hospital setting.  Previous experience as RN in ICU or cardiac step-down.

 SKILLS:  ACLS, Prescriptive Authority (DEA Number), proficient in clinical skills of assessment of Cardiac patients.  Abides by agreed upon protocol for patient care and possess good communication skills.  Knowledge and understanding of computer use.

RN - Certified Wound Care Apply

This position is responsible for provision as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative care of patients with selected disorders of the integumentary systems such as acute and chronic wounds (e.g., complex draining wounds, fistulae, pressure ulcers, vascular ulcers). Professional responsibilities are carried out through direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, research, and administration.  Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel. 

  • Required to attend to a task / function for more than 60 minutes at a time.
  • Required to understand and relate to specific ideas, generally several at a time.
  • Required to remember task / assignment required (and delegated) at beginning of a period of time extending several days / week / month.
  • Evidence of good mental health and ability to concentrate under stress and emergency situations.
