This is a combined position: Patient Care Associate: This position is responsible for performing basic patient care skills under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. EDUCATION: High school graduate (or have minimum of GED). EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred. SKILLS: Able to read and write English. BLS current or within first 90 days of employment. Clinical skills to perform basic nursing care. Unit Secretary: This position is responsible for all secretarial and receptionist duties and coordination of related activities of the nursing station, including coordination of critical communication between physicians, nursing, patients, families, and other health team members. Position requires utilization of computer, verbal and written skills. EDUCATION: High school diploma (or GED). EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a health care setting preferred. Basic computer skills. SKILLS: Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to read and write English. Computer data entry. |
